In the art gallery world, having one cordless phone for the business is not an unusual scenario. But the Visual Art Exchange in downtown Raleigh, N.C., is not your typical art studio. Operating for nearly 30 years, the VAE is the oldest, private, non-profit arts organization in Raleigh and the only one dedicated to exhibiting the work of emerging, relocated and avocational artist in the area.
In 2006, when Sarah Powers became the executive director, the VAE had one cordless phone and a couple of computers connected with an ethernet cable. As the organization quickly grew to a staff of four with specifically defined roles, the need for a more sophisticated technology infrastructure became apparent. Sarah was familiar with celito’s capabilities and reputation for customer support from her previous fundraising role with the Carolina Ballet. So, when it came time to source an ISP solution for the VAE, celito was at the top of the list.

“celito came up with so many creative options for our phone and data services that also gave us plenty of room to grow with”, Sarah says. “celito also explained it in terms I could understand. We were thrilled with the upgrade and all of the capabilities it gave us.”
Now its second year of its relationship with celito, the VAE receives voice and data communication services as well as technical support from their ISP partner.
“If there is anything I need, they are there for us,” Sarah adds. “They are truly partners in virtually every sense — from technology services and support to sponsoring VAE events, as well.”
