Carolina Ballet reached a pivotal year in 2005 when it came to their information technology. Executive Director Lisa Jones realized it was all over the place. “Everything was piece-meal,” she says. “There was no standard operating procedure for our IT, and we really weren’t networked in any sense.” During conversations with peers at sister organizations, like the North Carolina Symphony, Lisa began to hear about celito and the solutions it had put in place in other non-profit organizations. Based on those word-of-mouth referrals, she was led to celito to discuss Carolina Ballet’s IT situation. She was looking to make some changes.
Celito is a great friend of the non-profits. They assessed our situation completely, and really came to us with technology ideas that best fit our needs, not some cookie-cutter proposal.Lisa Jones (Executive Director)
“The fact that celito was recommended to me by my peers was tremendously influential,” Lisa adds. “It’s always great to get such a strong referral from others in the field.” Celito went on-site at Carolina Ballet’s offices and conducted a tips to toes evaluation of the current systems.
“They assessed our situation completely, and really came to us with technology ideas that best fit our needs, not some cookie-cutter proposal,” she explains. “Celito is a great friend of the non-profits.” The decision to go with celito was made, and the transformation began. All of the servers were standardized, computers backups were put in place, and the Internet service was upgraded. Within the first week, she knew she had made the right decision. Since then, Carolina Ballet has added VoIP telephone service for 30 phones, which provide what Lisa calls “enormous potential long-term for reporting on inbound and outbound call tracking,” among other features.
Lisa also appreciates the top-notch service. “Anytime we’ve had a service concern, the response has been very prompt. They always go above and beyond.”
